The Avon Protection C50™ mask is built on the same proven platform as the U.S. military’s M50/JSGPM (Joint Services General Purpose Mask), offering exceptional flexibility and protection in high-risk environments. Designed for modern threats, it safeguards against chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear (CBRN) agents, as well as toxic industrial chemicals (TICs) and materials (TIMs).

The C50 is compatible with a range of filters and certified to meet strict safety standards:

• NIOSH CBRN Cap 1 approved with CBRNCF50 filter (TC-14G-0318)

• NIOSH 42 CFR 84 CS/CN/P100 riot control approved with CTCF50 filter (TC-14G-0322)

• NIOSH 42 CFR 84 P100 approved with CFP100 filter (TC-84A-9233)

Warnings and Limitations of Use

• Always perform a negative pressure seal check before each use to ensure the respirator fits correctly and is functioning as intended.

• Do not use in confined or enclosed spaces such as tanks, stills, or sewers. This mask does not supply breathable air.

• Facial hair or eyeglass side arms that interfere with the mask’s seal may compromise protection and cause the mask to fail leakage requirements.

• Do not wear in oxygen-deficient environments (less than 19.5% oxygen) or in the presence of contaminants for which the filter is not certified to protect against.

• Not suitable for oxygen-enriched atmospheres (above 22.5% oxygen).

• All setup, pre-use checks, donning, doffing, cleaning, and maintenance must be carried out in a clean area free from hazardous substances.

• Inspect all system components before use. Do not use the equipment if any part shows signs of damage, wear, or deterioration.

• Avoid using in environments with open flames, as the head harness is not flame-resistant.

Misuse of this equipment may result in serious injury or death. Misuse includes but is not limited to:

• Using the mask for firefighting purposes.

• Modifying or reconfiguring any part of the system outside the manufacturer’s guidelines.

• Attaching unapproved accessories or components not tested or approved by the manufacturer.

• Reusing the mask without proper decontamination, especially after physical impact or visible damage—even if no damage is immediately apparent.

• Using filter canisters that are not officially approved for this mask.
