The BESANTEK BSTCT101 Tone and Probe Kit with RJ11 Connector consists of a tone generator and an amplifier probe, designed to identify and trace wires/cables in a group without damaging the insulation as well as locating and identifying cable pairs or individual conductors. Audible tone will be loudest on the target wire, and tone volume is adjustable.
Amplifier Probe
- The amplifier probe is designed to identify and trace wires or cables within a group withoutdamaging the insulation.
- Work with any Tone Generator to identify wires.
- Volume control for increased sensitivity andadjustable to suit work environment.
- Recessed ON/OFF button prevents battery drain.
- Power supply is a 9V battery with a life ofapproximately 100 hours.
- A phone jack is designed for headset or handset.
Tone Generator
- Tone generator is a great tool for locating andidentifying cable pairs or individual conductors.
- It does not only serve as a tone generator, butalso serves as a continuity and polarity tester.
- A tone selector switch located inside the unitfor selection of the fast tone or slow tone.
- Two bi-colored LED for Line1 and Line 2 indicationof the polarities of the telephone lines.
- The unit has alligator type terminals, a modularcable of 4 conductors with a strong connector.
- The continuity function is only applied to Line 1.
